This project involved the design and installation of both the hardscaping and landscaping around the client’s new pool area. The client wanted the design to encompass their vision, maximize the space, and incorporate functionality and safety.
When we assessed the area to start the design, we found some unlevel areas. We designed retaining walls to compensate for the elevation changes as well as redirect water around the new pool area to carry water to a nearby drainage easement.
The client envisioned a space that could entertain family and friends comfortably so we created a courtyard area with seat walls for an excellent gathering and eating space. We also designed specific lawn areas to be used for additional family activities. Pavers were installed around the pool and columns with lighting so the space can easily be used after dark.
On this particular project we chose a Hickory blend segmental retaining wall block for beauty, strength and functionality. The hickory blend color complimented the clients brick on their home. These products were provided by a local vendor we’ve used for over 30 years.
We love how this project turned out and the client was thrilled with their new outdoor space!
