This client came to Landscape Jimmy looking for an exciting new design to replace their old, outdated landscape. They also had some minor drainage problems that needed to be solved. We love helping homeowners not just plant beautiful landscapes, but solve functional challenges!
Our solution was twofold: a complete overhaul of the planting beds and a simple, effective fix for the drainage. We recommended a brand-new landscape design focused on providing year-round interest and being incredibly low-maintenance per the client’s request.
To tackle the water issue, we installed simple downspout piping to carry water safely away from the house. After our initial consultation, the entire project took about 2–3 weeks and our team completed the entire installation in just about two days! That’s the power of a great team.
We chose plantings that have a lot of color and texture all year long. To ensure the best quality and hardiness, we thoughtfully chose a balance of evergreens, deciduous plants, and colorful perennials that were grown right here in KY.
After removing the old materials and installing the downspout piping, we prepped the beds with rich compost to give the new plants the best possible start. The customer was so happy with the final design, and it brings us so much joy to hear that the plants have grown beautifully over the last several years.
