This wonderful customer contacted us looking for a fresh, exciting way to use their backyard. They had an existing deck that was no longer meeting their needs and they were dreaming of a better space to entertain and hang out with family. We love helping people create an outdoor space they can be proud of, and this project was a perfect fit for our combined landscaping and hardscaping expertise!
The team got right to work designing a solution that would solve their problems and truly elevate their outdoor living experience. We recommended removing the old deck entirely and replacing it with a new, low-maintenance patio, complete with a seat wall and a firepit.
This allowed us to solve several issues for the customer all at once. Not only did we remove the maintenance headaches of the old deck, but we also dressed up the surrounding area with beautiful plantings to complement the new hardscape.
We handled every detail of this complete renovation. First, we removed the old deck and installed the new patio and steps leading to the back door. We carefully installed a built-in seat wall and the firepit to create a functional and welcoming entertainment area.
Since the deck was gone, we also took the opportunity to solve a hidden problem: we installed downspout piping for three downspouts, routing the water safely under the new patio to the rear of the property. We selected high-quality hardscape materials that perfectly complemented the house colors and the customer’s style, utilizing products manufactured locally and plants grown in KY for the best quality and hardiness.
The entire transformation, from consultation to the finished project, took about a month! Now, they have a beautiful, no-headache backyard with no more standing water or mosquitos —just a haven for relaxation!
